Hyderabad: The Communist Party of India (M) senior leader and MLA, Mr Julakanti Ranga Reddy on Monday said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president, Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao was unable to safeguard the MLAs of his party.
Mr Ranga Reddy asked how Mr Chandrasekhar Rao could achieve separate Telangana State when he was not capable enough to safeguard his MLAs. While doubting the sincerity of Mr KCR, he reminded that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was a minister when the Telugu Desam party was in power, and he never talked of Telangana State then. He also said that Mr KCR was trying to influence the people of the region through his rhetoric in order to capture political power.
Referring to the criticism being levelled by Mr Chandrasekhar Rao against the CPI (M) that none from Telangana region was made the State Secretary of the party during the past 50 years, Mr Ranga Reddy said that he was unnecessarily talking about CPM, and adding that he does not have the eligibility or right to do so. “Who should be the State secretary of the party was an internal issue of the CPI (M) party, and Mr KCR has nothing to do with it”, he noted further.
