Hyderabad: The Communist Party of India MLA, Mr Sambasiva Rao, on Monday found fault with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Chief, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao’s meeting with the Congress leader, Dr K Keshava Rao.
Speaking at Media Point on the premises of the Assembly, Mr Sambasiva Rao has claimed that the TRS Chief has taken a decision to postpone “Million people’s March” after meeting the Congress leader. Questioning the need for the TRS supremo to go to the house of the senior Congress leader and meet him, the CPI leader said that Mr KCR was showing soft-corner towards the Congress party. “Mr Chandrasekhara Rao should be more clear about the Telangana movement”, he added. While the TRS was mounting pressure on the leaders of other parties on Telangana issue, it was sparing the Telangana Congress leaders, he regretted.
Indirectly referring to the TRS supremo, he underlined the need not to link the Telangana issue with political interest. Mr KCR should consult the leaders of all the pro-Telangana parties for united agitation.
On the decision of the Telangana Congress leaders to boycott the budget session of the Legislative Assembly, the CPI leader felt that the Telangana people would repulse the “deceitful tactics” of political leaders on the issue of Telangana Statehood. The Congress MLAs should stay in New Delhi and mount pressure on their party high command, if they were sincere on the Telangana Statehood.
He also said that the CPI members would disrupt the proceedings of the House on Tuesday also. (NSS)
