Hyderabad: The CPI has decided to fight against the policy of the State government which was helping the private power projects loot the public money.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the CPI State secretary, Dr K Narayana, has said that 11 left parties, including CPI, met here at the CPI State office and discussed for three hours about problems being faced by the people and anti-people policies of the State government. He said that the meeting has decided to argue against the Konaseema Power Project in front of the Electricity Regulatory Commission.
The meeting also decided to organize public meetings at Srikakulam on May 26, Nellore on June 5 and also decided to launch agitation across the State if the government hiked petrol and diesel prices again.
Dr Narayana said that the meeting wanted the State government to set up a House Committee on Land allotments and solve the problems of farmers. (NSS)
