The Cyberabad police on Saturday busted a high-class sex racket operating from star hotels and private houses in posh localities. Two pimps along with two associates, six customers and three women, including one Uzbek national, were arrested.

The accused had developed contacts with noted personalities in the real estate, film and other industries and were leading a luxurious life.

The Cyberabad police commissioner, Mr D. Tirumala Rao, said, “We raided a star hotel in Gachibowli and arrested Selva Raj, a Chennai resident, and Anna Alexeeva, an Uzbekisthan national, for indulging in the prostitution. After interrogating them, a pimp named Goutham, a native of Rajahmundry, and a customer, Tavajeet Singh, were also arrested from the hotel.

On further leads, raids were conducted at Mahavir Apartments, Jubilee Hills, where police found one more sex worker, Babli Singh, with a customer, Mahesh Misra, in one of the flats. Both of them were arrested.

Two more customers, P. Rami Reddy and Satyam Reddy, along with another pimp named John and his associate Aadi were arrested from another room of the same flat.

Further, as the police was finalising the formalities at a star hotel, another sex worker, Nandini — a junior artiste — along with a customer, Krishna Reddy, came to meet Goutham. They were also arrested. Investigation into the case has revealed the involvement of numerous people in the hi-tech racket across other metro cities in India. Deccan Chronicle
