Hyderabad: Alleging that the Revenue Minister, Mr N. Raghuveera Reddy, was a staunch loyalist of YSR Congress Party founder-president, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and covert of the BJP, the senior Congress leader and former minister, Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, has thrown a challenge to the former to contest election against him by resigning from his MLA seat to find out who was the real ‘poisonous insect’ in the ruling Congress party.
Demanding that the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to remove Mr Raghuveera Reddy from his Cabinet for the defeat of Congress candidates in the Local Body MLC elections in Anantapur and Chittoor districts, Mr Diwakar Reddy said that the Congress candidates lost elections only due to sabotage by Mr Raghuveera Reddy. He alleged that Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was the main ‘enemy’ to the Congress party and not the TDP. He also refuted all the charges leveled by Mr Raghuveera Reddy against him tooth and nail.
Speaking to media persons at the CLP office on Saturday, Mr Diwakar Reddy said that he became a “poisonous insect” by bringing Mr Raghuveera Reddy, who was in BJP, into Congress fold in 1989. He admitted that he really made the Congress party’s milk pot poisonous by bringing the poisonous Raghuveera Reddy into the Congress. He claimed that he brought Mr Raghuveera Reddy, who was dead against late Indira Gandhi, into the Congress party, even by not listening to late YSR. He said that he did not know the cunning obedience and spreading of Gobles like Mr Raghuveera Reddy.
