Hyderabad: The PCC president, Mr D Srinivas, has admitted that the Congress party did not get the expected results in the MLC elections.
Talking to newsmen at Gandhi Bhavan after the results were out, Mr Srinivas said there were generally more problems when the number of voters was less. He said both the State and district leaderships of the party would own responsibility for the party’s defeat. He said he would come to a conclusion on reasons for the party’s defeat, after getting reports from the district leaderships.
EG DCC CHIEF QUITS
The East Godavari DCC chief, Mr Gokaraju Ramaraju, has resigned to his post, owning responsibility for the party’s defeat. He said he was quitting, accepting moral responsibility to the party’s rout. (NSS)
