Hyderabad, Feb.9 (NSS): Once again reiterating that he was trying to create a media friendly Assembly, the Deputy Speaker Mr Nadendla Manohar said that media personnel would also be issued Radio Frequency Identity Cards after the budget session, as was the case with MLAs.
In an interaction with the journalists at MLAs Lounge in Assembly here on Wednesday, Mr Manohar urged the reporters particularly from electronic media not to take interviews with outside persons in the Assembly premises. He also requested the media men not to take interviews of the MLAs till the day’s sitting was over. He also urged the reporters to maintain restraint on the day of budget presentation in the Assembly, to avoid unwanted incidents that occurred last year.
He said that he was initiating steps to provide more facilities like designated internet facility to the reporters. He also informed that he would take steps to modernize the facilities at the media point by establishing seating arrangements to the media people. He said that the Assembly staff has visited the Parliament to examine the tradition followed there towards journalists.
Mr Manohar assured the journalists, who raised some points, that he will solve the problems faced by the latter. He also informed that the Austria’s 10-member team led by the Speaker will be visiting the Assembly.
