Hyderabad: The Deputy Speaker, Mr Nadendla Manohar, who was in the chair, on Saturday disallowed notices of adjournment motions tabled by all the Opposition parties in the Legislative Assembly.
Soon after the House met at 9 am, the Deputy Speaker announced that the adjournment motions given by the TDP on release of funds for weavers’ loan waiver, the TRS notice for introduction of a resolution in favour of formation of Telangana State, the BJP notice on the agitation of the people in the Telangana region, the CPI and the CPI(M) on the agitation of the people against setting up of Thermal power station in Srikakulam district.
The impact of weather also thinned the attendance of the members in the House in the early hours. There was skeletal presence in the treasury and Opposition benches in the House. Looking at the hall, the Deputy Speaker quipped that as the weather was cooperating, the members also should cooperate with the chair for smooth conduct of the proceedings in the House. (NSS)
