Hyderabad: Efforts by the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to bring about a compromise between the warring party leaders, the Malkajgiri MP, Mr Sarve Satyanarayana, and the Handlooms & Textiles Minister, Dr P Shankar Rao, have failed.
The Chief Minister called the duo to his office in the Secretariat and tried for a compromise. However, Dr Shankar Rao abruptly left the meeting, apparently rejecting the compromise formula.
It may be recalled that the two have showered obscenities on each other on a small issue at a public function, in view of the public and officials. Following this, Mr Sarve called the minister corrupt. He said that he would complain about him to the Chief Minister and the party High Command. Dr Shankar Rao retorted by challenging that he would ensure that Mr Sarve would not be taken into the Union cabinet.
