Hyderabad, Feb.18 (NSS): Personnel belonging to various Electronic Media on Friday sat on protest dharna at Media Point on the State Assembly premises demanding dissolution of the Media Advisory Committee for its alleged discriminatory role in providing visual clippings about the happenings within the House during the Governor’s address yesterday.

On coming to know about the protest by the Electronic Media, the Minister for Labour and Employment, Mr Danam Nagender, accompanied by the Government Chief Whip, Mr Bhatti Vikramarka, came to the Media Point and apprised themselves about the problem and assured to resolve the issue by discussing with the Deputy Speaker.
Even as the protest dharna continued, the Secretary of the Media Advisory Committee, Mr Shailendra reportedly handed over his resignation to the Deputy Speaker. Meanwhile, the leaders belonging to the APUJW along with Mr Vikramarka called on the protesting electronic media personnel and assured that henceforth all steps would be taken to ensure that all the TV channels would be provided with visual clippings without any partisan attitude.
