Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district Collector, Mr Natarajan Gulzar, here on Tuesday stated that government land admeasuring 1,116 square yards at Khilla Mohammed Nagar under Golconda mandal has been liberated from encroachers and handed over to the Rajiv Vidya Mission.
In a pressnote issued this evening, the Collector stated that the 1,116 square yards government land in S No. 116/C (TS No. 27/4, Block I, Ward 17) was encroached upon by some unscrupulous persons and constructed shops thereon. However, the Revenue officials concerned detected the encroachment and demolished the shops and handed over the site to the Rajiv Vidya Mission authorities who have started construction, he added.
Similarly, the Revenue authorities have demolished illegally constructed houses in 5,000 square yards government land at Madannapet IS Sadan under Saidabad mandal under Hyderabad Revenue Division and took possession of the land, the Collector stated.
The Collector stated that some persons had illegally occupied the government land (TS No. 45 and 60) and constructed houses with a compound wall. However, the Revenue authorities detected the fraud and demolished the houses and took possession of the government land, he added.
The Hyderabad Revenue Divisional Officer, Ms T K Rama Mani, the Tahsildars, Ms Arundati, Ms Chandrakala, 16 village revenue officers participated in the demolition of illegal structures and recovery of government lands. (NSS)
