Hyderabad: The senior Telugu Desam party MLA, Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao, has said that the party president, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, was committed to separate Telangana State.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, referring to the remarks by Mr Pocharam Srinivas Reddy against Mr Chandrababu Naidu on Friday, Mr Dayakar Rao said that it was not proper for him to criticize Mr Naidu. “He had got many positions in the TDP and hence it was quite improper on his part now to lambaste Mr Chandrababu Naidu”, he maintained.
Mr Dayakar Rao also claimed that he has been advocating that all the political leaders of the region, irrespective of party affiliations, should contest on behalf of the Telangana JAC. “Though the Congress and TDP have endorsed the idea, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi was opposing it, he pointed out.
Pointing out to the advantages of his idea, Mr Errabelli said that there would be no selfish motives and every body would selflessly work for the cause of Telangana State, if the leaders contested on behalf of the TJAC. He also said that the leaders would think for the betterment of their political parties and their individual gains, if they contested on behalf of their parties. (NSS)
