Hyderabad: The TDP senior leader, Mr Yerrabelli Dayakar rao on Sunday announced that Telangana TDP legislators would submit their resignations immediately after the majority of Telangana Congress legislators send the resignation letters to the authority concerned.
Speaking at a media conference in the TDLP office here, Mr Dayakar Rao said that only by-elections would come, if the Telangana TDP legislators alone quit their posts. But, the dream of formation of separate Telangana State would be materialized, only if all the Telangana Congress MLAs resigned to their posts, he added. Hence, they put the condition that they would resign to the posts, if majority of Congress legislators from the region offered resignation to their posts, he added.
“We are ready to resign to our posts as the T Congress leaders now came forward to resign to their posts and create constitutional crisis in the State”, he added.
Referring to the statements of the T Congress leaders that their party would only give Telangana separate state, the TDP leader felt that the T Congress leaders should be in first row in the resignation in wake of their earlier comments. The T TDP MLAs would submit the resignation letters immediately after resignation of the Congress MLAs on Monday. He demanded that all the MLAs from Telangana region irrespective of political affiliation should resign to their posts. No one should also contest in the by-elections, which would come after the resignations, he opined.
Mr Mothukupalli Narsimhulu said that they were committed to the statement made at Mahanadu on Telangana state. He opined that constitutional crisis would be created in the state only if all the MLAs from the region resigned to their posts at a time. The long-pending dream of four crore Telangana people for separate state was going to turn into reality soon, he added.
