Hyderabad: The differences within the Telangana leaders of the Telugu Desam Party are widening with each passing day, with the two sections coming out with statements criticizing each other.
Senior leader from Telangana Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao has hit hard at another senior leader from the region Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who has adopted a defiant stand against the party chief Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, and conducting a meeting at Nagarkurnool recently, without the TDP flag.
Speaking to the media here today, Mr Dayakar Rao said that Dr Nagam should change his style of functioning. He said that Dr Nagam should carry on the agitation with the TDP flag, and it was not proper for him to hold meetings without party flag. He criticized Dr Nagam for obeying the party flag, party agenda and its leader while in power, and ignoring them as the party was not in power.
Mr Rao said that the party would take action Dr Nagam for anti-party activities. The party was not afraid of taking action against Dr Nagam, and action would be taken after discussing the issue in the party. He said that Dr Nagam was not speaking on his own, but somebody from behind was making him to take an anti-party stand.(NSS)
