Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday urged Union Minister of State for Defense Pallam Raju to expedite the process of implementation of the proposed Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) manufacturing facility project in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, in a letter to Mr Pallam Raju, said that the state has been pioneering in creating conducive environment for the defence and aerospace industry in the country.
The state is home to prestigious public sector units of defence related manufacturing like DRDO, DRDL, HAL and Midhani, the Chief Minister said and reminded the MoS the proposal of the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to set up its manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs 4,000 crore.
The project is discussed at length by the senior officials of state government with the representatives of HAL, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy reminded.
He added in his letter that, “I am sure that the proposed project of HAL will create employment opportunities to many unemployed youth in the state and also creates potential for the growth of number of ancillary industries thus contributing for the overall all economic development.”
The Chief Minister requested Mr Pallam Raju to to issue necessary directions to the concerned for the speedy implementation of the project, and assured him of the full support of the state government in implementing the project in Andhra Pradesh by providing all required infrastructure facilities and various clearances for the project.(INN)
