Hyderabad: Member of Legislative Council and honorary president of Federation of Associations of Colonies and Apartments (FACA) city committee, Prof K. Nageswar has demanded the State government to notify the park places and protect them from land grabbers in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.
Speaking to media persons here today, he alleged that the Revenue, Municipal and Police officers were colluding with the land grabbers to illegally occupy park places in the City. He said that GHMC officials were neglecting to protect the park and amenities places in the colonies on city outskirts. He said that the land grabbers were enjoying lands by getting stay orders from Courts. He also said that GHMC officials were adopting a negligent attitude in filing counters in the Courts. He informed that about 25 colonies were facing land grabbers problems in the city.
Federation of Associations of Colonies and Apartments (FACA), Honarary president, L.B.Nagar committee, Mr N. Anjaiah, said that the GHMC was not protecting colony amenities lands from land grabbers, but it has collected 14 percent taxes under LRS scheme from colonies, which were not having park and amenities places in the layout in the city.
He demanded the State government to withdraw the cases foisted against colony association leaders in Venkateswara Colony phase-II in Karmanghat division. He alleged that land grabber Mr Ravinder has illegally occupied 1,200 yards land, which was allotted to Bus stop and he has also created illegal documents to occupy the adjacent park land.
On June 6, local MLA, Colony leaders and the people started demolishing the illegal construction in the park place, and the police officials have filled a case against the colony president Tirupataiah in name of demolishing the construction. He condemned that the police has arrested Colony president Tirupataiah, instead of the land grabber Ravinder Reddy.
FACA city general secretary V. Kameshbabu said that the land grabbers were trying to occupy park places at North Extension Colony of Hastinapuram, Green Estate colony of Champapet Division , Sagar enclave of Karmanghat division and Judges colony.
Association L.B. Nagar president Mr Ravinder Sharma, general secretary Mr N.Brahmachary were also present.
