Hyderabad: The Finance Minister, Mr Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, here on Wednesday, appealed to the Telangana Employees’ Unions leaders not to doubt the sincerity and sympathy of the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, in resolving their grievances.

Speaking to mediapersons, the Finance Minister said the Kiran Kumar Reddy government was sincere to resolve the grievances of the Telangana employees and appealed to the union leaders to participate in the talks with the Cabinet sub-committee again on Thursday afternoon. Stating that only eight departments have been brought under provisions of Essential Services Maintenance Act so far, Mr Reddy has appealed to the TNGOs union leaders to withdraw strike notice in good faith keeping the State’s interests in view. Stating that every issue can be discussed, he said there were many opportunities to get their grievances redressed through talks.

Reiterating that security forces were called in only to preserve peace and protection of people and not to bring pressure on anybody, the Finance Minister said the religious leaders were expressing agony that the sanctity of the ensuing Ramzan and Ganesh festivals would be affected due to the bandhs and strikes. He also pointed out that barring constitution of a judicial committee on the implementation of the GO No. 610, all other issues of the employees have been solved. He also appealed to the employees’ unions’ leaders not to remain adamant on the issues which are not under the purview of the State government.
