Hyderabad: Telangana Praja Front president and Balladeer Gaddar on Friday called upon Telangana elected representatives, who resigned for the cause of separate statehood, not to withdraw their resignations until the Centre announces a Telangana state.
Talking to media persons after giving a tea party to Legislators who resigned from their elected posts at the Madina Educational Centre, Nampally, Gaddar appealed to all the leaders to unite and fight for Telangana state.
He thanked the Legislators for sacrificing their posts for the cause of Telangana and lit one candle each for every Legislator who resigned.
Rajya Sabha Member from Congress K Kesava Rao said that 600 students died for the cause of statehood. “Compared to the sacrifice of students, our resignation is a minor one,” he said.
Mr Kesava Rao added that the agitation for the statehood would be taken forward with sacrifices of students.
He said that no dialogue will be held with High Command in New Delhi until the announcement of Telangana state.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi Floor Leader Etela Rajender, 6 MLAs from TDP and three MPs and one MLA from Congress attended the tea party.(INN)
