Hyderabad: Making it clear that initiating action against those indulging in anti-party activities was not a big thing, the PCC Chief, Mr D Srinivas, said that the party was going slowly because of the typical political situation prevailing in the State. He also warned the party leaders, who were making anti-party statements, to be careful about their statements. He also said that he will talk to the Chief Minister on nominated posts’ issue soon to do justice to the real party activists.
The PCC office-bearers felicitated Mr Srinivas for completing three years as the PCC Chief for second time. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Srinivas said that there was no unity in the party in 2009 elections as it had in 2004 and it reflected in the elections. He opined that the leaders have great responsibility when the party was in power to protect the party interests and to avoid embarrassing situation to the government.
Referring to the just-concluded Local Body MLC elections, the PCC president said that the party candidates have lost election by slender margin, but some of them were trying to build up pressure on the party which is condemnable. He also said that it was not correct to the leaders to make statements as they wish to each other within the party. He said that it was high time to put a full stop to such statements to protect the party interests. Otherwise, the party’s image would be lowered, he added.
He said that small leaders have to advice the big leaders to know their mistakes in the interest of party.
