Governor greets people on Independence Day

Hyderabad: On the happy occasion of the 65th Independence Day, the Governor E.S. L. Narasimhan conveyed his warm and cordial greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

In a message, he said: “Independence Day is a day of remembrance of the sacrifices as well as a solemn occasion of reaffirmation of the ideals on which we stand as free men & women. The Country’s Freedom is the culmination of the sacrifices of generations of men and women consumed by a longing to see an India free and fair. Today is the time to bow in reverence to the memory of all whose sacrifices have made it possible for us to enjoy this precious freedom”.

On this happy occasion, the Governor recalled the words of Gitacharya “Yoga: Karmasu Kousalam” with an appeal for nation building and strive to usher in a just and equitous society.

Andhra Pradesh, he wished would continue to play a leading role in the march of Country through dedication, communal, harmony and mutual tolerance
