Govt invites employees’ unions for talks

Hyderabad: The State government has invited employees for talks on the proposed general strike at 12 noon on Thursday.

The Cabinet sub-committee appointed for the purpose of handling the strike has extended this invitation. The committee has asked the employees not to suspect the sincerity of the Chief Minister in resolving their problems. It said there were several ways to resolve the outstanding problems through talks. The committee has also urged the employees to withdraw the proposed strike in the interest of the state. The committee has said that security forces were deployed at government offices only for their protection and not to bring pressure on them.

The employees have been demanding the deletion of clause 14 F from the Presidential Order and withdrawal of security forces from the government offices.
