Hyderabad: TDP chief Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that all the pending problems of the physically handicapped be immediately resolved.
Mr. Naidu was addressing members of the monthly magazine ‘Vikalangula Pilupu’ who met him at the NTR Trust Bhaven here on Wednesday.
Stating that there were 60 lakh handicapped persons in the state, he said the government was adopting a lackadaisical attitude towards them despite showering promises to them during the elections and later. He said whenever the handicapped resort to agitation, the Chief Minister was making fresh promises to them and evading the problem temporarily. He said the sincerity of the government towards the welfare of the disabled was evident through the funds allocated for their welfare in the budget.
Mr. Gonuguntla Koteswara Rao, former Chairman of the Board of Welfare for the Disabled and magazine staff members Kolli Nageswara Rao, Bothulu Sudhakar Reddy, Venkatesh and others were among those who met Mr. Naidu. (NSS)
