Hyderabad: The state government has decided to fill up the posts of Village Revenue Officers and Village Revenue Assistants by the end of August.
Detailing media persons at the Secretariat on Monday, Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy said that a Cabinet Sub-Committee, which met today, discussed at length various issues related to the filling up of said posts.
“As many as 9000 posts are vacant and interviews in the ratio of 1: 3 would be conducted considering the reservation and certain changes including the recruitment policy,” the Revenue Minister said.
Candidates who have passed Intermediate are eligible to apply for the VRO posts and for VRA posts, a pass in tenth class is a must
Interviews for the VRO posts would be held under the supervision of district Collectors while Revenue Divisional Officers would interview VRA candidates.
In both the cases, 15 marks would be allotted to the qualifications while 85 marks will be given based on the interviews, according to Mr Raghuveera Reddy.
The Group of Ministers have been appointed to suggest a methodology to be adopted for recruitment of VROs and VRAs.
The GoM comprised of Mr Raghuveera Reddy, Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy. Civil Supplies Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu was an absentee.(INN)
