Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi senior leader and Siddipet MLA, Mr T Harish Rao, on Saturday alleged that the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who belongs to the Seemandhra region, was planning to cause injustice to the Telangana engineers.

Speaking to mediapersons at TRS Bhavan here, Mr Harish Rao also lashed out at the Chief Minister saying that he was bent upon rendering great injustice to the people of Telangana in violation of Constitutional rights. Warning the Chief Minister of severe consequences if the government resorted to cancel GO No. 91, Mr Harish Rao appealed to Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy to undo the injustice caused to the Telangana engineers working in the Irrigation department.

Pointing out that the Telangana Political JAC has given a call for “Vanta Varpu” (cooking food on main roads) on Sunday, Mr Harish Rao said there would be unimaginable tremendous response from the people of the region. Making it clear that the Telangana JAC does not want to cause any inconvenience to the people by their agitation programmes, he said that they have decided to organise the “Vanta – Varpu” programme on either side of the roads to ensure that no hindrance was caused to the movement of vehicular traffic on Sunday.

Alleging that the Director General of Police, Mr Aravinda Rao, was planning to foil their Sunday programme, the TRS leader warned the former not to provoke the people of the region on the eve of his retirement. He reiterated that Mr Aravinda Rao had done severe injustice to the Telangana people and advised him not to commit such mistakes again.

In an open letter to the elected representatives of the Congress party, Mr Harish Rao advised them to tender their resignations immediately to bring pressure on the Congress high command. He also said that the TRS leaders also would quit their posts, if necessary. He also warned that the people of the region would not pardon “us if we enact dramas by setting deadlines”.
