Hyderabad: In support of the noted social activist Anna Hazare’s indefinite hunger strike demanding “Jan Lokpal Bill”, the Youth for Better India, a voluntary organization, will be organizing relay hunger strikes from April 8 to 10 at Indira Park, here. The relay hunger strike would begin at 9 am on Friday.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, noted Tollywood Film director, Mr Shekhar Kammula, who has extended his support to the move by the YBI, said that he would take part in the relay hunger strike on behalf of the youth, at Indira Park on April 8. He said that corruption has become a grave malady in the country and it would be a severe detriment to the all-round progress of our society. All sections, especially the youth in our country, were ready to fight this malicious phenomenon, he added.
Coordinator of the YBI, Mr Sashank appealed to all sections of the people to extend their support for this movement as it has become the biggest movement in the recent history of our country, and is being aptly called as the Second freedom struggle. He also noted that the move launched by the YBI was supported by many prominent citizens like Mr Shekhar Kammula (film director), Mr Chukka Ramaiah (educationist), Mr Ramakrishna Raju (State convener, United Forum for RTI campaign).
