Former Minister and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has said that he had resigned his minister post for the sake of separate Telangana State.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he said that one news channel has misquoted his remarks yesterday, stating that he was thinking of joining YSRCP, which was not correct. He said that he will decide his future course of action, if the Centre failed to announce a statement on Telangana issue by December 9.
He said that he has already discussed with the Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy on this issue and will take a final decision only after December 9, after discussing with senior leaders like Jaipal Reddy and Jana Reddy. “Whether to float a new party or not will be decided later”, he said.
He said that he likes former chief minister late Dr YSR and TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao a lot. (NSS)
