Hyderabad: MIM MLA Mr. Akbaruddin has said that his remarks on the beginning of the Ramzan month about his adversaries was were misrepresented.
Talking to newsmen after meeting the Chief Minister here on Tuesday, he has clarified that he never said that he would avenge the attack on him.
When asked about the demolition of some buildings in Chandrayana Gutta belonging to Mohammad Pahilwan (the alleged attacker on Akbaruddin), he said the government was acting on court orders and this would apply to every one. It was alleged that Mr. Akbaruddin was responsible for the demolition of his adversary’s properties. Akbar has maintained that he would not intervene in such matters. He said he had requested the Chief Minister to lift the cases foisted against Muslim youth in connection with the Macca Masjid blasts. He has also urged the Chief Minister to provide more funds for the development of the old city. He wanted the government to set up training centres for Muslim youth for competitive examinations. Another request he has made was setting apart 50 percent of the revenue coming through Challans from the Hyderabad to the GHMC, he added. He has also requested him to bring more water from Krishna. He has said he was thanking all the Hindus and Muslims who prayed for him when he was fighting for his life and also the Chief Minister and the people of the state, on his recovery.
