Hyderabad: Many interesting developments are taking place in regard to the health condition of Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, who is undergoing treatment at the Super Specialty Hospital there for the past over a fortnight, as none were allowed to see him.

One Advocate Mr Bhaskar Reddy has filed a petition in the Penukonda Court of Anantapur district, today, pleading that the real facts relating to the Baba’s health should be made public. The petition was posted for Saturday, for hearing. The petitioner contended that Satya Sai Baba had become a prisoner of some vested interests and there were reports that the factual position of his health was not being revealed.

In Hyderabad, Dalitha Janasabha has approached the State Human Rights Commission complaining that there was violation of Human rights in regard to Satya Sai Baba. It was contended that by denying his devotees to see the Baba, the Trust members were violating the Human Rights. In the name of treatment, Baba was imprisoned in the Hospital, the petition said and sought appropriate action against the Trust board members and Hospital authorities. (NSS)
