Hyderabad: Income Tax officials on Wednesday raided educational institutions run by Narayana Group of Educational Institutions throughout the state.
According to sources, two teams of IT officials raided the head offices of the group in Narayanguda area of Hyderabad, early on Wednesday morning and are believed to have seized some incriminating documents.
The officials said searches are still on.
The group started as a coaching centre now runs around 200 campuses with 1,75,000 students with centres outside the state.
The flagship institute was established in the year 1979 as a coaching institute for aspirants of state level entrance exams. (INN)
