Hyderabad: YSR Congress president Mr. YS Jaganmohan Reddy has reached Kadapa and started discussions about the party’s arrangements for the ensuing by elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats. According to information, he would remain in the district till the elections were over.
Mr. Jagan is believed to have told his followers that over confidence was dangerous. He told them that as his own uncle Vivekananda Reddy was being fielded by the Congress party, there would be stiff contest and all his cadres should be careful and work hard. He is also said to be of the opinion that it should be ensured that the opposition TDP would not benefit because of the split in the Congress votes.
Jagan is presently engrossed in the task of appointing in charges for all the Assembly segments of the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. He has on Saturday met some Congress MLAs supporting him and discussed with them the strategy of his party.
It may be recalled that Mr. Jagan would be contesting from the Kadapa Parliament seat and his mother Vijayamma would be standing from the Pulivendula Assembly seat. (NSS)
