New Delhi: Union Minister Mr. S Jaipal Reddy bowed down to pressure and wore the Telangana badge. He has also shouted the ‘Jai Telangana’ slogan.

Jaipal Reddy’s recent statement that he was a nationalist and not a regionalist has led to a major controversy. He was charged with being anti-Telangana. With all-round criticism, Mr. Jaipal Reddy used the dinner given by the Rajya Sabha member Mr. V Hanumantha Rao to clarify that he was after all not anti-Telangana. He raised the Telangana slogans in that dinner meet.

Mr. Reddy attended the dinner with the Telangana badge. On a request form the Telangana Congress MPs, he also raised Telangana slogans. The MPs have requested the union minister to tell his colleague and Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherji that he was for Telangana state. All the Congress MPs are now in New Delhi to meet Union Ministers Mr. Mukherji, Mr. Chidambaram and other central leaders to mount pressure on Telangana. Hanumanta Rao has given a dinner to them.
