Jaipal urges party leaders to strengthen PCC chief’s hands

Hyderabad: Appealing to all the Congress leaders to extend their cooperation to the PCC Chief, Mr D Srinivas, the Union Petroleum Minister, Mr S Jaipal Reddy, said that he would continue to extend his cooperation to the PCC Chief.

Addressing the gathering at Gandhi Bhavan on the occasion of Mr Srinivas’s felicitation programme on Sunday, Mr Jaipal Reddy said that the party was facing some problems in the State and hence the PCC Chief needed every one’s cooperation to protect the party. He said that Mr Srinivas was working hard for the sake of the party.

The former Chief Minister, Mr K Rosaiah, reiterated that the nation would be in a good position if the Congress party was in a good position. He said that Ms Sonia Gandhi was working hard for the sake of party. He said that the PCC Chief was protecting the party’s interests even though it was facing hardships at this juncture in the State.

Calling upon the party leaders to work unitedly under the leadership of Mr Srinivas to protect the party, he said that Mr Srinivas worked hard along with the late leader, Dr YSR to bring the party back to power twice.

The ministers, Mr Pithani Sathyanarayana, Mr Thota Narasimham, Mr Dokka Manikya Varaprasada Rao, the MPs Mr Kanumuri Bapi Raju, the Hyderabad Mayor, Ms Banda Kathika Reddy, and PCC office-bearers participated in the felicitation programme. (NSS)
