Hyderabad: Hailing the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, for successfully taking an initiative for deletion of 14(f) clause, the CPI-(M) MLA, Mr Julakanti Ranga Reddy, today urged the Chief Minister to take the same initiative over the issue of Telangana statehood also.
Speaking at media point in the Secretariat here, Mr Ranga Reddy welcomed the deletion of controversial 14(f) clause from Presidential Order. The repeal of 14(f) clause was a good development in the affairs of the State. He reminded that the Chief Minister has taken special interest and brought pressure on the Centre for deletion of the controversial clause.
Pointing out that the administration has come to a standstill with the Telangana ministers abstaining from duties, the CPI-M leader said there was region wise rift in all the political parties over the Telangana issue. The situation has come to such a pass that the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues were not able to tour in the districts. The government was also not in a position to hold Assembly session with the political uncertainty continuing in the State, he added.
