Hyderabad: Making it clear that there would be severe action against the Congress MLAs, who were campaigning in support of the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, at an appropriate time, the Congress senior leader, Mr Anam Vivekananda Reddy, said that the Congress candidates would emerge winners in the Kadapa by-elections.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Tuesday, Mr Vivekananda Reddy said that late YSR belonged to the Congress party and asked Mr Jagan how the Kadapa voters would cast their votes to his son ignoring his father.
Ridiculing Mr Jagan’s argument that many of his namesakes filed nominations against him, Mr Vivekananda Reddy said that Jagan’s party too ensured filing of nominations by many Ravindra Reddys and Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddys. He said that all the loyal leaders of Mr Jagan across the State were in Kadapa and added that money was flowing from Nellore to Kadapa for the sake of election. The money seized at Kadapa was owned by Gayatri Sugars (Nellore district) management. (NSS)
