Hyderabad: The Banaganapalle MLA, Mr Katasani Rami Reddy, who switched over his loyalty from Praja Rajyam to YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and again to the PRP now, has made it clear that he would not change his mind and turn towards Mr Jagan in future.
Speaking to the media at PRPLP office here on Monday, Mr Rami Reddy said that he has asked the Deputy Speaker, Mr Nadendla Manohar, who served disqualification notice to him following a complaint from the PRP Whip, Ms Vanga Geetha, to extend date for submission of his explanation. He said that the Deputy Speaker has conceded his plea and extended time for three more days.
Responding to a query, Mr Rami Reddy said that he never defied the PRP and never spoke against its Chief, Mr Chiranjeevi. He said that he would continue in the PRP and will take back the letter submitted to the Election Commission. He said that he would also address a letter to the Party Chief, Mr Chiranjeevi, that he would abide by the decision of the party chief over merger of PRP with Congress party.
Asked whether he shifted his loyalties towards PRP at the instance of others, Mr Rami Reddy said that he was not that sort of person. He also made it clear that he hasn’t changed his mind afraid of disqualification threat. He said that he joined the PRP when it was launched as the Congress party denied him ticket. (NSS)
