Hyderabad: Lashing out at the Central government, the TRS Chief Mr. K Chandrashekar Rao has made it clear that he would continue the Telangana movement even though the government kept him in jail and his head was severed. Except separate Telangana state the Telangana people won’t accept any other solution including the regional boards and special packages, he added.

Addressing ‘Prof. Jayashankar Sporthi’ meeting held here on Wednesday, Mr. KCR said he would run the Telangana movement committing himself to the wishes of late Jayashankar. He has warned the Congress party that the Telangana people would dump it in Bay of Bengal if it sets up regional board for Telangana region. He said that the Telangana region would burn if the Centre failed to stick to the announcement of December 9, 2009.

Stating that the Centre could not stop the Telangana movement by keeping him and Prof. Kodandaram in Jail, Mr. KCR has added that nothing would happen to Telangana region by setting up a regional board. He said that the Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh has assured on conceding Telangana and has to stick to his word by creating separate Telangana state.

Recalling the first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru’s words, BJP senior leader Ms. Nazma Hepthulla has said that the state should be divided into two when the people were not in position to live together. She made it clear that the BJP would extend its full support to the Telangana movement. She opined that separate Telangana would be created with Hyderabad as its capital. Saying that Telangana movement was not against anybody, she said that Prof. Jayashankar’s role in Telangana movement was unforgettable.
