KCR Warns Of Mass Fast On Telangana Issue

Hyderabad, Feb.13 (NSS): The TRS Chief Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao has warned the Centre that he would go on fast with 50,000 people, if it failed to come down on Telangana issue. He said that the TRS and employees unions would stall the functioning of the State government with the non-cooperation movement in Telangana region.

Addressing on the occasion of some leaders from other parties of Nizamabad district joining the TRS party here at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, Mr KCR made it clear that he would continue the fast till separate State was achieved. He said that lack of unity in the political leaders was a big problem to achieve Telangana.

In the earlier Hyderabad State, the employees number was more than Andhra region, he said and added that the employees would be given Central scales if Telangana was created. It was possible to give free education to students from KG to PG if Telangana was created, he said. He also stated that the State government was getting 72 percent of the total State budget from Telangana region only.

In another development, the Telangana Employees Unions leaders, after a luncheon meeting with Mr KCR, made it clear that they will not go back on non-cooperation movement even though the State government imposed ESMA on employees.

Urging the Educational, Medical and Students organizations to cooperate in the non-cooperation movement, the leaders warned the government that the consequences would be serious if it appoints temporary employees to run the government.

On the other hand, demanding the TRS to extend Rs 5 lakh help to each family and provide a government job and pucca house, the families of Martyrs of Telangana movement, tried to lay seize to the Telangana Bhavan, under the banner of Telangana Amaraveerula Kutumbala Ikya Vedika (TAKIV). Tension prevailed when the TRS activists obstructed the attempt of some family members to barge into the TRS Bhavan.

Police entered the scene, and took the TAKIV members into custody.(NSS)
