Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has directed the officials and all others concerned to make the “Education Fortnight” in the State a grand success. The Chief Minister has stressed that thrust should be given for counselling to school dropouts and their parents during the ensuing “Education Fortnight” to be started from June 13 all over the State. He also said that preparatory measures should be started to celebrate the “Fortnight” in a big way and meticulous planning must be done for its success.
The Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements for the celebration of “Education Fortnight” with the Ministers, Mr K. Partha Sarathy, Dr S. Sailajanath and Ms Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, senior officials from Education, Women Development and Child Welfare and other departments at the Camp Office here today.
The Chief Minister directed that the drop-outs’ data and counselling for their enrolment should be compiled on a daily basis and it has to be released to the media for wide publicity. The Counselling team includes the teacher, SHG group leader and Mandal Resource Person. High school and Intermediate students will be counselled for career options by the University professors.
