Kiran condoles AP CM’s death

Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Thursday expressed shock and anguish over the tragic death of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr Dorjee Khandu, in a helicopter accident. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said that in the death of Mr Dorjee, Arunachal Pradesh lost one of its beloved chief ministers and the country a senior leader.

Recalling the services of Mr Dorjee in the Indian Army, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said that Mr Dorjee was awarded a gold medal for his meritorious intelligence services during Bangladesh war. Mr Dorjee was also a social worker and brought water supply, power, communication and literacy to far-flung areas in his State. The Chief Minister said that Mr. Dorjee became the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh twice.

The Chief Minister, on behalf of the government and people of Andhra Pradesh conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of Mr Dorjee and people of Arunachal Pradesh. (NSS)
