Hyderabad: Extending condolences to the bereaved families of the Konaseema farmers, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has said the State government would address the farmers, who have announced crop holiday. The government also appointed a Committee to study the problems of those farmers, it added.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Friday, the MLC, Mr Rudraraju Padmaraju, said the TDP Chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, was touring the Godavari districts and shedding crocodile tears towards farmers’ plight only to get political mileage. He said that Mr Naidu was trying to strengthen his party base in the Konaseema region on the pretext of consoling the farmers.
Lashing out at the former chief minister for alleging that the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has no experience to help solve farmers’ problems, he urged the Deputy Chief Minister, Mr C. Damodar Raja Narasimha, who was handling Agriculture Ministry additionally, to visit the Godavari districts to know the problems of the farmers.
