Kiran grieves M F Hussain’s demise

Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has expressed his grief over the death of noted painter Maqbool Fida Hussain popularly known as M F Hussain at a London Hospital today. The Chief Minister said that Mr Hussain was a world renowned painter and known as the “Picasso of India” and his paintings were adored throughout the world. The Chief Minister said late Hussain was also a film maker par excellence.

Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said that late M F Hussain had a special attachment and affection towards Hyderabad and built his “Cinema Ghar” in Banjara Hills where he stayed and worked for a long time. The Cinema Ghar of Hyderabad, established in 1999, is the artistic creation of late M.F. Hussain and is an unconventional museum that celebrates the glory of the Indian art form. The Chief Minister recalled the services of M F Hussain to the world of Painting and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
