Hyderabad: The EBC Welfare Association President Mr V Ravinder Reddy has assured the A P Home guards Welfare Association that he would take up with the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy the problems of Home guards and render justice to them.
Leaders of the Home guards Association today called on the EBC Welfare Association chief and informed him that the home guards were being removed from service after making them work for years on end like bonded labour, without appointment letters.
Home guards selected on the lines of police department personnel in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts were being removed mercilessly, on the pretext that they did not have appointment letters. Home guards working in law and order, traffic, CID, Crime, excise, RTC, RTA, Intelligence, Greyhounds, fire services for nearly eight years, nd their removal from service was not justified. They were treated like bonded labour and paid Rs.130 per day, they informed Mr Ravinder Reddy.
Mr Ravinder Reddy assured them that their problems would be taken to the notice of the Chief Minister and justice would be ensured to them. Home guards Association leaders Mr V Rajender Reddy, Mr mallikarjun, Mr Shaik Meera, Mr Srinivas, Mr Lxman, Mr Shaik Shavali were among those who met Mr Ravinder Reddy. (NSS)
