Hyderabad: The senior TRS leader and Siddipet MLA, Mr T Harish Rao, today said that the ruling Congress party and the main Opposition Telugu Desam party in the State have colluded with each other in order to protect each other’s interests and to sabotage formation of Telangana State.
Speaking at the Assembly Media point, the TRS leader said that the MLAs of both the parties openly visiting each other’s party offices in Kadapa and expressing mutual support proves crystal clear that the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, and the leader of the Opposition, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, have colluded and sabotaging the good prospects of formation of separate Telangana State. To substantiate his accusation, Mr Harish Rao said that the senior Congress leader, Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, called on the TDP president, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, recently. “That was also the reason why Mr Chandrababu Naidu was protecting the Kiran Kumar Reddy government by intentionally failing to move a No Confidence Motion against the government in the Assembly,” he added. However, the people would teach a fitting lesson to both these parties for deceiving them, he added.
The TRS leader further alleged that as part of a secret deal between the two parties on the ensuing MLC elections, the TDP leaders were surrendering party MPTCs to the Congress party.
Pointing out to the Assembly session, Mr Harish Rao said that it has turned into a Seemandhra Assembly with the legislators of all parties in the Telangana region boycotting it. Only some 50 MLAs from the Seemandhra region turned up in the Assembly (NSS)
