Hyderabad: Alleging that a section of the media, which was not interested in the growth of the Congress party, was publishing false reports that there were differences between him and his Cabinet colleagues, the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, made it clear that they have no differences at all and their aim was to make the AICC general secretary, Mr Rahul Gandhi, as Prime Minister of the country. Stating that no force on the earth could defeat the Congress party if the leaders remained united, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the AICC Chief, Ms Sonia Gandhi, was appointing youths in key posts so that the Opposition cannot face them as they were all “attacking players”.

Addressing the party functionaries in Gandhi Bhavan on the occasion of the Transport Minister, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, taking charge as the new chief of PCC on Saturday, Mr Reddy pointed out that Ms Sonia Gandhi has appointed Mr Botcha Satyanarayana as PCC Chief, Mr Damodar Rajanarasimha as Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Nadendla Manohar as Speaker and Mr Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as Deputy Speaker keeping in view the 2014 elections. He said that nobody had requested Ms Sonia Gandhi for these posts, but she only selected the youth team.

The Chief Minister said that he and other leaders in the party have come to this position just because of the Congress party gave them tickets. He said that the party always recognised hard workers and appointed them in key positions. The Chief Minister said that first priority will be given to the party, second to the party workers and third to the voters. He said that the appointment to nominated posts of market committees and temple committees had already begun and only stopped where there were differences between the leaders.

Stating that the Congress party gave opportunities to the leaders without any caste and creed considerations, the Chief Minister said that nobody could defeat the Congress if the party leaders remained united. He said that he and other leaders would move forward taking advice from seniors. He alleged that a section of the media was publishing fabricated news items with an intention not to allow the growth of Congress party. He said that their team was similar to the T-20 World Cup Cricket winning Indian team under the leadership of Mr Mahendra Singh Dhoni and their aim was to make Mr Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minster in 2014 elections.

Requesting the new PCC Chief to take the advises from the senior leaders to strengthen the party by going to the people, he asked Mr Botcha to issue identity cards to all party workers from top to bottom. He said that he was ready to speak to 50 party workers in every week to get their confidence. He said that the party would win the 2014 elections with this new team.
