Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, visited Maqdoom Bhavan this afternoon and placed a wreath on the body of the departed leader Bommagani Dharma Bhiksham and paid rich tributes.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy recalled the services of Dharma Bhiksham to the poor, downtrodden and working class, particularly the toddy tappers. The Chief Minister said that Mr Dharma Bhiksham was acclaimed as one of the best parliamentarians and earned accolades both in the Assembly and Parliament.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the demise of Dharma Bhiksham is an irreparable loss not only to the State but also to the poor and working class. The Chief Minister conveyed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family members.
The State government has decided to accord police honours to the funeral of the departed leader as a mark of respect to him. The Collector, Nalgonda was directed to make necessary arrangements for the funeral in consultation with the family members of the late leader. (NSS)
