Rubbishing a survey report saying that only 50% of the people in the region supported the formation of Telangana, Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao said he would quit the movement if any one supporting unified state can secure the minimum votes to retain their deposits.
He also claimed that 81% people in AP wanted bifurcation.”We feel there is no truth in these survey reports. It is way off the mark. In fact, more than 81% people in AP want the state bifurcated. Our surveys have shown that everyone across Telangana region wanted a separate state” he said. TOI
