Hyderabad: Telangana JAC Prof. Kodandaram and TRS leader Mr. K Taraka Rama Rao have expressed their anger at the Congress Parliament member Mr. Kavuri Sambasiva Rao for speaking against Telangana in Lok Sabha on Friday.

They were talking to the media separately.

Prof. Kodandaram has said the Congress leadership should take action on Mr. Sambasiva Rao as he has said that the party had never promised to concede Telangana. He said the statement of the Home Minister Mr. Chidambaram that there should be a consensus on Telangana was totally meaningless. He has warned the centre that the movement would be intensified if the centre denies Telangana.

Prof. Kodandaram has expressed gratitude to Ms. Sushma Swaraj for speaking in favour of Telangana in the Lok Sabha.

Mr. KTR has said those Telangana Congress public representatives who had not so far resigned should react to Mr. Kavuri’s statement and resign at least now, to protect their self respect. Replying to questions, he said they would submit their resignations any number of times if the speaker chose to reject them. He has charged the government of not having the courage to convene the Assembly session.

Faulting the statement of Mr. Chidambaram that there should be consensus on Telangana, he said consensus was not possible on any issue. He said the majority opinion should be taken into consideation. Demanding that the 14 F clause be immediately removed, he said the Chief Minister should take an all party delegation to New Delhi to resolve the issue.
