Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party Chief Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s staunch supporter and Congress MLA from Parakala constituency, Ms Konda Surekha has said that the Assembly Speaker Mr Nadendla Manohar has rejected the resignations of the Telangana legislators’ en mass to suppress the Telangana movement. Dubbing the Speaker’s action as the “AICC Chief Ms Sonia Gandhi’s drama”, she alleged that the Speaker has taken this decision succumbing to the pressure of Congress party high command.

Ms Surekha came to the Assembly on Sunday to submit her resignation once again, but the Deputy Speaker Mr Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Assembly secretary Mr S Sadaram were not present. Later, speaking at the media point, Ms Surekha has said that Mr Sadaram kept his Mobile phone in off mode. She alleged that coming to the Assembly to tender her resignation once again was nothing but insult to her stature and alleged that the Speaker’s decision was irrelevant.

Lashing out at the State Congress Party Affairs in-charge Mr Gulam Nabi Azad for making different statements on Telangana issue at different places, she alleged that Mr Azad was insulting the Telangana leaders’ inviting only 10 members for the discussions. She said that Mr Azad was trying to create differences between the Telangana Congress leaders by restricting the number to only 10. She said that the Telangana leaders were fighting among themselves to get the chance for the discussions with Mr Azad.

Alleging that the Ministers from Telangana region were enacting dramas, she found fault with the ministers for not tendering resignation to their minister posts as they have already submitted their resignations to their MLA posts. He asked the TRS Chief Mr K Chandrashekar Rao, who said that the Telangana state will be realized in two weeks time, as to why he didn’t lay seize to the residence of Ms Sonia Gandhi.
