Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and Sircilla MLA, Mr K T Rama Rao, on Friday announced a bumper offer to the elected representatives of the Congress party.
The TRS supremo, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao’s son has demanded that all the elected representatives like the MPs and MLAs of Telangana region tender resignations to their elective posts immediately as there was no clear assurance from the Congress High Command on the demerger of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh. In the event of their en masse resignations from their posts, the TRS would not field its candidates if they contested again on behalf of the Telangana Political JAC.
Mr Taraka Rama Rao appealed to the Congress leaders to quit their posts, successfully contest again on behalf of the Political JAC and continue the struggle for formation of separate Telangana State. He also urged the Congress leaders not to hoodwink the people of the region by their false and empty statements. He also said that he strongly believed that the Congress leaders, who went to Delhi “for the last time” to wrest an assurance on Telangana from the Central leaders, would resign en masse.
