Hyderabad: The Congress MLA, Mr Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, has said that his party MP from Vijayawada, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, was making adverse comments as he was afraid that the Telangana State would be a reality soon.
Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, Mr Gandra said that there was no truth in the argument of Mr Rajagopal that there would be communal clashes if Telangana was conceded. He advised the MP not to make provocative remarks.
Mr Reddy said that the success of the “Vanta-Vaarpu” programme of the Telangana JAC has proved that the Telangana sentiment was strong among the people. Claiming that even the Seemandhra people were supporting State division, he alleged that only a few investors, who have interests in Hyderabad, were opposing the Telangana State formation. He said that the Seemandhra leaders also could go to New Delhi and put forth their arguments.
